The CD No 3 contains 15 songs, poems and games (10 songs for Asterias 1a & 11songs for Asterias 1b). It is a very important supplement to the basic material that enhances the acquisition of the Greek language and its proper pronunciation effortlessly, with the help of the rhythm and music.
The songs help the students better assimilate certain grammatical and syntactical phenomena, enrich their vocabulary, familiarize themselves with contemporary topics and ideas, as well as certain elements of Greek culture and everyday life in Greece. In addition, children are exposed to a variety of listening material, thus getting used to the proper pronunciation, accentuation, and the rhythm of the new language, learning at the same time various structures and expressions of the language.
The types of songs included in the CD are mostly newly created songs both in terms of music and lyrics, with some folk songs – slightly altered – and traditional songs in their original form. Each song, depending on its content, has its own style in order to avoid repetition and monotony. Thus, the student can hear ballads, jazz, Greek tunes, pop music etc.
The lyrics of the songs are all included in the CD box.
