  • There is a Glossary in every Step of the books Greek for you A1 & A2 with all the new words of the Step.
  • A very helpful tool for revision when learning Greek as a second/foreign language are the Thematic Glossaries on all the topics that are developed in the Steps.
  • In the Annex, at the back of the book, you may find translated in the reference language the following: Alphabetical Glossary of 2225 words in A1 and 2500 words in A2. Next to each Greek word there is a code that informs the user where each word is firstly used (in which specific Step).

This is a valuable guide for the teachers of Modern Greek who can support their courses with a detailed plan on the communicative topics, the grammar issues, the vocabulary emphasis of each Step, but also useful charts and information that they can use in order to create their short term, mid tern and long term plans.

All the material follows the guidelines of CEFR (Common European Framework for Languages) and the curricula and instructions of the Centre for the Greek Language (ΚΕΓ) that organises the examination for the Certificate of the Greek Language (Ellinomatheia).

All the material follows the guidelines of CEFR (Common European Framework for Languages) and the curricula and instructions of the Centre for the Greek Language (ΚΕΓ) that organises the examination for the Certificate of the Greek Language (Ellinomatheia). For the facilitation of both teachers and students the material includes Ellinomatheia tests at the end of each Step (A1: 25 tests, A2: 13 tests). In addition, you may find on line complete tests for the level A1 (A2 tests are under development).

Greek culture:

References to Greek everyday life and Greek culture are present throughout the whole material. In addition, there is a section dedicated to civilisation topics at the end of each Unit, such as holidays, geography, history and so forth.
